Dementia: A Family Perspective
Dementia is a vast subject and has been presented on several levels and several forums, more from a clinical and statistical perspective. To look at the same from a different angle, from the angle of a family who has a loved one suffering from Dementia is a unique experience. This presentation focuses on what the family goes through and helps identify tools and resources for the family.

Sam Gopinathan is the founder and CEO of New Wave Home Care. Sam started New Wave Home Care, after he lost his previous job to the last recession in 2009. New Wave Home Care was started in 2010 and in the last 12+ years, they have provided concierge level care for nearly 1.4 million hours of care.
Sam is a Mechanical Engineer from India and he has worked in various Fortune 500 companies and medium sized companies. Sam also has completed his MBA from the Peter Drucker School of Management, Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, CA. His passion for caring came to light when he was volunteering to help tsunami victims after the 2004 tsunami that hit India. Serving as a volunteer, he came across significant human suffering.
