As part of Estate Services, Ms. Lopez works with high net worth clients, internal Wealth Management partners, and local professionals in the tax and legal communities to efficiently administer complex trusts and estates while providing customized service to clients in the California and Hawaii areas.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Ms. Lopez worked at the LCMS Foundation where she served as a trust administrator. She has over fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in the areas of personal banking, private & corporate wealth management and planned giving.
Preceding her current role, Ms. Lopez was a Fiduciary Advisory Specialist helping clients implement an estate plan that addressed their financial needs, focused on long-term goals, and helped them achieve mutigenerational and/or philanthropic desires in an effort to ensure their legacy was fulfilled.
Ms. Lopez studied Business Administration at Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri, and holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation granted by the Institute of Certified Bankers of the American Bankers Association.
Outside of work, Ms. Lopez volunteers with the Global Orphan Project, traveling to provide care for children and their communities. In her spare time, she enjoys playing recreational volleyball, scuba diving, and cheering on the Nebraska Huskers.
As part of Estate Services, Ms. Sexton is responsible for the successful completion of the detailed and sometimes difficult day-to-day duties of estate administration and trust settlement. She works closely with client and internal partners to ensure the proper completion of the estate settlement process.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Ms. Sexton worked as an attorney where her work focused on intricate estate planning, trust and probate administration.
Ms. Sexton has been in the financial services and legal industry for more than 25 years. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with an emphasis on Western European Studies from the American University in Washington, D.C.
Clare works with clients to integrate fiduciary and investment knowledge into each client’s custom wealth plan. She coordinates with investment strategists to align investments with the client’s goals and values. Based on the particular situation, Clare can coordinate a variety of Specialized Wealth Services in order to help grow and protect assets, while working toward the client’s overall wealth management goals.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Clare worked at U.S. Trust, Bank of America for five years, where she was a Senior Trust Officer. Clare was in private practice as an estate planning and probate attorney for nine years. She has been in the financial services industry for more than 30 years.
Clare earned a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management from the University of St. Thomas. She also has a Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline law school in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Clare is a member of both the California Bar and the Minnesota Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Probate section of the Pasadena Bar and the Trusts and Estates Section of the Los Angeles County Bar. Clare taught Trusts and Estates for the Glendale University College of Law as an adjunct professor and is a frequent speaker on fiduciary topics.
Clare is Vice President of the Fiduciary Round Table of the San Gabriel Valley. She is an avid cyclist and enjoys cycling trips throughout the country.
