Topic: Would my client (and me) benefit from having an End-of-Life Doula?
Do you have clients who will die or have died? The answer is simply yes, yet it can be a very overwhelming, sometimes unexpected and fearful experience for many. This interactive presentation will be an opportunity to understand the role of an End-of-Life Doula, how one can can be of service and support as part of a care team as well as reflect on how your own death and dying perspectives.

Founder, Be Present Care and Death over Drafts
Stefanie Elkins has over 20 years of diverse non-profit experiences in the eldercare field. “To meet individuals where they are,” Stefanie started, Be Present Care, where she facilitates and guides caregiving and end-of-life conversations as well as educates and develops care plans and programs for families, healthcare and senior focused professionals and organizations. Stefanie is also the founder of Death over Drafts, a death positive community event held at breweries to encourage connection for those who serve in the death and dying space and the curious.
Stefanie is also the LA Unit Chair of the Western Region of Aging Life Care Association®, completed the University of Vermont End of Life Doula Professional certificate program, and holds a double MA in Management specializing in Human Services and a MA in Jewish Communal Service from Brandeis University and a BA in Social Relations from UC Riverside. Stefanie is a compassionate, dedicated and resourceful connector that welcomes opportunities to support and navigate life transitions.
